The Weston Historical Society's Tercentennial Exhibition

The society's tercentennial exhibition was designed by Will Twombly of Spokeshave Designs. Graphic design is by Mary Orr of Orr Studios. The exhibit includes a timeline and nine thematic areas: agriculture, industry, professionals, education, commerce, estates, summer pleasures, Weston in wartime, and post-war growth. Exhibit cases were donated by the Concord Museum and Peabody Essex Museum.

Historic Route 20
A Journey Across America's Longest Highway

In 2010, Bryan Farr set out on a cross country journey with only one goal - stay the entire way on US Route 20 from Boston to Newport, Oregon. No map or GPS was needed and 3,365 miles later and over 2,000 photos shot, the task of organizing the journey took on a life of its own. The early history of the highway and long lost routes started to emerge and stories in every town were wanting to be told. In 2012, Bryan founded the Historic US Route 20 Association. Bryan will guide us on a journey through history, beginning with the old Native American trails in Massachusetts to the busiest super highways. He will also discuss his efforts to promote and preserve America's Longest Highway.
